Always Dale ("we", "us") runs events in Winnipeg, Manitoba and beyond. This policy explains what personal information we collect through alwaysdale.com, our DaleMail email and text lists, and our events, and how we use and protect it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

1. What we collect

  • Sign-up information: when you join DaleMail, your first and last name, email, mobile number (if you choose to get texts), and birthday (we use it to confirm you are 18 or older).
  • Consent records: whether you agreed to receive texts, the wording you agreed to, and the date, time, page and IP address of your sign-up. We keep these to show that you asked to hear from us.
  • Messages: replies you send to our texts or emails, including STOP and HELP requests.
  • Purchases: if you buy merchandise from our online store, your name, contact details, shipping address and order details. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Website usage: like most websites, we use cookies and analytics tools to see how people use our site, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location.

2. How we use it

  • To send you the emails and texts you signed up for: event announcements, ticket releases, presale codes and waitlist updates
  • To process and deliver store orders
  • To answer your questions and requests
  • To keep records of your consent and your opt-out requests
  • To understand and improve our website and events

3. Text messages (SMS)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell, rent or trade your mobile number.

Your mobile number and text consent are used only to send you DaleMail texts. They are shared only with the service providers that deliver our texts (such as our SMS provider, Twilio) to the extent needed to send them, and those providers may not use them for any other purpose. 4. Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only what they need to do their job:

  • Website hosting and online store (Squarespace)
  • Text message delivery (Twilio)
  • Sign-up form data storage (Cloudflare)
  • Email marketing
  • Ticketing, when you buy event tickets through our ticketing partner (Showpass)
  • Website analytics (Google Analytics)

Except as described in section 3, we may also disclose information if required by law, for example in response to a court order.

5. Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there may be subject to the laws of those countries.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your sign-up information while you're subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your consent and opt-out so we can honour your request and show that we followed the rules. We keep store order records as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Texts: reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe.
  • Emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email.
  • Access, correction and deletion: you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing dale@alwaysdale.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on the services we use. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.

9. Children

Our website and mailing lists are not intended for anyone under 18, and our text program is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
